Simple Life in Jail for Hilton
as 45 day sentence is cut to 23
Mintz testimony declared worthless by Judge Michael Sauer

At her hearing, Hilton told Superior Court Judge Michael Sauer that Mintz had repeatedly informed her that her license had been suspended for only 30 days and that she could still drive for work-related matters.  The 62-year-old publicist took the stand in her defense but the judge said his testimony was worthless.  The judge, stated "there's no doubt she knew her license had been suspended," and ruled that she was in violation of the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.  She was sincere, apologetic, and full of regret for her actions as she explained tearfully to the Judge handling her case in court.

Celebrity Status Cause Arrogant Thinking in Paris Hilton?

I think it is Paris' sheer stupidity and arrogance in thinking that she would get away with it because of her celebrity status/privileged wealth that galls most thinking people and, hence, the drive to have her "do the time for the crime”.  The 26-year-old celebrity was placed on 36 months of probation in January, when she pleaded no contest to an alcohol-related reckless driving charge in Hollywood.
Paris Hilton, 26, was caught driving with a banned license and was sentenced to a 45-day prison term, but got the sentence halved to 23 days by turning up for her last court date and impressing the authorities with her good behavior.  It seems that the impending sentence is making
Paris Hilton jittery and the actress is believed to be in a shattered mental state.  “I'm very sorry and from now on I'm going to pay complete attention to everything”, stated Paris Hilton.  On 27 February, she was stopped by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for speeding on Sunset Boulevard with her car's headlights off and charged with violating her probation. According to the police, Paris Hilton will be spending most of her time, 23 hours
a day to be exact, in
a small 8×12 jail cell with another inmate.

Paris Hilton is spending her final days away from the public eye and with close pals. Paris Hilton did the crime, and yes, she's going to do the time. Jail will show her the reality of the SIMPLE LIFE.

An emotional Paris, with tears welling up in her eyes, told the judge moments before the decision "I'm sorry, I'm sorry”.  Paris' shrink claims that Hilton is "emotionally distraught and traumatized" from the May 4 hearing where she was
sentenced to 45 days in jail for breaking probation
in her DUI bust, and asked a judge to allow her sufficient time to recover.  She will not be allowed any work release, furloughs, use of an alternative jail or electronic monitoring in lieu of jail.

There she will share an austere cell, wear an orange jumpsuit and pass the time with just three magazines or a book, though she will be in a "special needs" wing thanks to her celebrity status. The Paris Prison doll is wearing prison orange clothing and designer dolly accessories, comes complete with a comforting letter from ex-celebrity inmate Martha Stewart.
